Pasta with minced meat and cheese. Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, chopped (about a cup)
500-1000g minced beef
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 cup flour
1 can tomato
1 cup water
1 packet of pasta
1 cup fat cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional – garnished with parsley (fresh or dried)

How to prepare

In a large, deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the chopped onion and fry for 5-6 minutes, until it wilts. Add the meat to the pan and mix the meat with a wooden spoon until it breaks into several crumbs. Cook it until it changes color from pink to brown. Drain the excess fat from the pan and return to the heat.

On medium heat, add garlic, basil, thyme, salt, red pepper and flour. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add tomato sauce and broth, and stir until combined. Leave it to boil for 15 minutes.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain the pasta water with a strainer after it boils.

Add the cream and pasta to the sauce in the skillet, stirring gently. Add cheese and stir until melted.

Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
